David and Amy’s Wedding!

I had the pleasure of shooting David and Amy’s wedding the other week.  My husband and I met David (and then Amy when they started dating) while we were swing dancing and I have to say, they are so much fun to be around and to watch dance!  I am so happy that these two found love on the dance floor… but I guess I’m kind of partial towards that. :)

This is why I love Amy.  Do you think she was happy? :)

A loving mother.

David is one of the craziest, funniest, nicest guys I know.  I think this picture is very befitting. :)

Oh yeah, and his brother is awesome.

Amy fulfills the term ‘Radiant Bride’ in this photo.  She is lovely.

I loved her beautiful bouquet.

The girls. :)

When David first saw Amy. :)

Just Married!!!

Ha! I love this photo. They’ve been married a few minutes and they’re already acting like each other!

Bubbles!

The Happy couple.

Do you think David loves this girl? So sweet!

I loved this spot at their reception. Secluded? Check. Interesting? Check. Colorful? Check. Bride and groom in love? Check check!

Just cut the cake! Show em’ the goods!

Amy’s dad loves these two so much. He was making Amy tear up while he was toasting the couple!

Ha! David and Amy weren’t the only ones who were excited that day!

These two are so classy together. But they also know how to have fun. Check out those moves!

Love it. Amy being serenaded on her wedding day.

And they lived happily ever after.

Congratulations David and Amy!  You two are fantastic.

It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that Swing!

After all of the car photos were taken, I got to go inside and see all of the fun happening on the dance floor! The Swing Cats performed a couple of numbers and they looked FANTASTIC all decked out in their 50′s garb.

Next was a 1950′s costume contest! All of the people who wanted to compete would walk around in a big circle and one-by-one, would be eliminated until only two remained!

I thought it was so funny that the princesses had to hold on to their crowns when they went under the limbo pole!  Hahah!

This girl was amazing.  She was pretty tall, but somehow she managed to be one of the last ones out!

And this was our winner!  Hooray!

After all of that fun, it was time for dancing to some fantastic 50′s tunes spun by DJ Terry Gardner.

This is Terry dancing with his niece, Kristina (one of the Princesses of Woodbury). :)

What a great end to a fun evening!

I’d like to thank the Woodbury Royalty and Terry Gardner for letting me take part in this fun event!  If you guys are interested in learning to swing like these cool cats, check out the TC Swing website http://tcswing.com/.  Terry and his lovely wife, Cindy, do lessons every Thursday at Tapestry Folkdance Center and Cindy also does private lessons!  Check it out!

Your swingin’ friend,

Kassy :)

’56 Ford Sunliner

Hello guys!  I’m working through some of the photos from the Swingin’ 50′s Fundraiser for the Woodbury Royalty and I thought I’d share the car with you first!  What a sight!  The vivid-blue Sunliner was amazing to look at and had such cool details.

This is Kian with the Sunliner.  Isn’t she cute!  She is a fantastic dancer and one of the nicest people I know. :)

We had all different types of people show up in all different types of 50′s couture.  Here are a few shots of them with the Ford.

Here are all of the lovely Woodbury Royalty!  They put on a great party!

Stay tuned for some shots of inside the 50′s dance!

Kassy :)
