Andrew + EunKyoung Engagement

As I was preparing to take engagement photos for Andrew and EunKyoung,  I was very nervous, because I didn’t know if I would do them justice.  Andrew and EunKyoung are a one of a kind couple.  Andrew is thoughtful and deep and when he’s with EunKyoung, his gentleness is very apparent.  EunKyoung is sweet and smart, and as I’ve gotten to know her, very brave.  She also has a great sense of humor!  Their story of falling in love is so genuine: EunKyoung, from Korea, going to school in Minneapolis and Andrew, a born and bred Minnesotan.  Just friends, shyly getting to know each other and eventually realizing that they don’t want to live without each other.  I hope these pictures shed a little light onto one beautiful relationship.

My favorite shot of the day.  Andrew is so sweet and EunKyoung is gorgeous.

They bought these shirts when they last went to Korea, and I couldn’t get enough of them!  Hahahah.  Best engagement photo shoot outfits ever!

Taken by my trusty second-shooter.  I love it.

Andrew and EunKyoung, I can’t wait to capture your wedding day.  You two are so special – and together, you’re the best!

Love,

Kassy :)

Boston + St. Paul = True Love

So, here are two of the sweetest, funniest, most wonderful people that I know.  Thomas (the mighty mighty Bostonian) and Kristin (the St. Paul beauty) are still newlyweds (oh yes, you are!) and wanted their Christmas pictures taken as a family with their dog, Shelby.  How cute are they?  Here is Kristin and her puppy:

Favorite!  I don’t think it was Shelby’s favorite, though!

I hope these made you smile!

Love,

Kassy :)

Japanese Lantern Festival at Como Conservatory

Last Sunday, my hubby and I went to Como’s Japanese Lantern Festival, also known as Obon. The Japanese light lanterns for the dead.It seems like every year it gets better and better, with more people, more Kimonos and more FOOD!
Edamame.  Yum yum.

A Japanese Fan Dance.

Some of the women were wearing the most beautiful and colorful Kimonos.

Heheh.  It was pretty cool watching this guy shoot this huge bow and arrow.  When he had it completely drawn, his arm started to shake.  I bet I couldn’t draw it even half way!

I LOVED this little girls cute, chubby cheeks.

I also loved her adorable goldfish Kimono.

This was so much fun to watch.  All of the children loved to dance to the Taiko; they would dance and jump and do all sorts of goofy things.  Some just stood there and didn’t know what to do!

Isn’t this woman beautiful?  I have no idea who she is, but she was dancing and it caught my eye. :)

*Sigh* What a beautiful day.

おやすみなさい

Kassy :)
