A girl who loves photography
On weekdays, you’ll find me working at the beautiful Minikahda Club in Minneapolis, and sometimes I can’t believe that I work at such a lovely place. The Grounds Dept. does a spectacular job at beautifying every inch of land and I was so happy that I was able to catch these incredible tulips before the storms blew the poor things away. Enjoy!

For Halloween this year, I was happy to be able to take photos at the Minikahda Club for their Charlie Brown themed Halloween party. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many adorable kids in one spot in my life! The staff were pretty cute, too! Hahahah!
This little girl loved Linus in the pumpkin patch.
The sunset was amazing! (Linus thinks so, too!)
Some of the kids not only dressed up, but played the parts as well. :)

My husband and I have an interesting connection with Jeff and Gretchen. Gretchen just graduated with her PhD from the U and that’s where she met my husband. (He will hopefully soon be following in her footsteps and GRADUATING! YES!) And Jeff works at the Minikahda Club on Lake Calhoun, and he coincidentally found me my job in accounting there. So, when they said they were getting married at the beautiful club, how could we resist? :)
I loved Gretchen’s dress. It was a gorgeous Monique Lhuillier gown, which looked even more stunning on the beautiful bride.
It’s funny. I got to meet Jeff before I met his fiance (and thought he was a pretty cool guy). And then one day I got to meet Gretchen when she came along with Jeff to work and it was as though they completed each other. Jeff just seemed even more cool and happy when Gretchen was at his side.
There is someone else who loves Jeff *almost* as much as Gretchen does, and that’s little Rinn, the flower girl. :)
Jeff and Gretchen had a beautiful ceremony on the deck overlooking the city of Minneapolis and Lake Calhoun.

This is one of my favorite shots of almost all of the weddings I do. There is just something about the genuine happiness of a couple who is just married.
The grounds at the Minikahda Club are meticulously kept. The Gardens are beautiful, and I’m so glad we got to spend a little time capturing the bride and groom around the Club.

There’s just something about this shot that I love. I think it’s because it shows how cute and fun they are together. Gretchen is sweet and has the cutest smile and I think Jeff brings it out the best.
Jeff and Gretchen’s reception was also at Minikahda, in the beautiful banquet hall. It was classy and fun, just like the bride and groom!
They hired an amazing band called PopLuxe, and man, can they do music!
