Leo the Little Boy

I’ve been following the life of little Leo pretty much ever since I’ve started my blogging.  It’s been really neat to watch him grow and change.  Leo’s parents are pretty much the coolest people ever, and Leo is turning out to be a pretty cool little boy as well.  As I was going through these pictures after I took them, I think it really hit me how much he has changed.  When I look at these photos, it’s hard to see a baby anymore – he’s really a little boy!  He’s so smart – Leo knows his ABC’s and knows how to find the first letter of people’s names.  I think they are such a beautiful family. :)

Leo turns 1!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! One thing that I’m am SO thankful for is this family: Al, Taya and little Leo. This family is one of the hardest-working, kind, funny and downright lovable families that I’ve ever known, and it was so wonderful to be able to be up at their cabin for Leo’s first birthday.

Leo is part Korean, and it is traditional that there is a big celebration on the first birthdays for Korean children.  So Leo was a star that day!  Aren’t he and his mama beautiful?

Leo had a bunch of other friends along for the celebration!  Many of his little guests were so cute!

Taya’s father had a very touching blessing that he gave to Leo and the family.

Also, as tradition would have it, the child gets many items placed in front of him that signifies different things in life.  For example, if they pick rice, they will never go hungry.  If they pick money, they’ll be rich!  Leo got the smarts when he picked up the calculator!!!

Next was the cake.  At first Leo wasn’t too sure…

But it looks like he likes it!

Now for the gifts!  Leo was literally showered with presents!

We Love Little Leo!

It has been so fun seeing little Leo grow up. He will be 1 year old in October and I can’t believe how fast the time has gone. What’s been great is that I’ve been privileged to document Leo about every 3 months since he was born. At 9 months, this little guy has started to show his winning personality. He’s curious, doesn’t like prickly things, thinks that some people are funny (Scott), loves Chex (the dog, not the food), and he’s starting to be quite the communicator!

Leo crawls around so fast!

He likes books!  I love how the page reads: Parent Guide.

He’s adventurous!  Wait ’til he starts walking!
