Brent + Kim

It was such a beautiful day. Warm for October, which was very good because some loved ones of Brent and Kim’s flew all the way from sunny, non-snowy Hawaii! It was very fitting that they got married in the gorgeous Cowles Conservatory at the Sculpture Garden, because it was warm (green house), unique and fantastic, just like Brent and Kim!

This was such a sweet time of prayer for the soon-to-be-married couple.

Their Pastor was a pretty cool guy, isn’t that great that he can get a good laugh in with the groom seconds before he ties the knot?

Can I just say that Kim is gorgeous?

Brent really wanted a shot of him carrying his stunning bride, and I’m so glad he did, because I LOVE this shot!  Brent got all GQ!

This picture that Scott took pretty much sums up how Brent and Kim felt about the car situation. :)

But as they drove away in their lovingly-decorated getaway car, they had to know that they were cared for by so many.

Brent, you are a kind and solid man and it’s so wonderful to see how you care for your new wife.  Kim, you are radiant… from the beginning of your wedding day to the end, you never stopped glowing.  You both are so thoughtful and sweet, and I know you will be so happy together for the rest of your lives!  God bless!

Brent + Kim = No Ka `Oi!

I was blessed to be able to take engagement photos for Brent and Kim this Summer. Brent is totally a Minnesotan and Kim is a Local girl from Hawaii. What a beautiful combo! We got to enjoy the beautiful, waning light at St. Anthony Main and Downtown Minneapolis. Hope you enjoy!

Brent and Kim met at college, but Kim went back to Hawaii and their love had to be put on hold for a while.  But it was re-awakened a few years later and blossomed into an engagement!  Hooray!

I cannot wait to take pictures for their wedding.  Isn’t Kim going to be such a beautiful bride?

These two went on a romantic date the other night and saw Wicked, which, by the way, is AWESOME!

Kim makes Brent’s smile light up like the theater lights!

Haleakala

As I promised on my facebook page, here are the photos from Mount Haleakala in Hawaii. Now, I talked about Maui and how I loved that you could go in one direction and there’s the ocean, in another there are flat fields (we don’t have any of those around here!), and if you look in another direction there are mountains. Well, if you look up… waaaaaay up, and if you decide to get up early and drive all the way up, this is what you’ll find:

Haleakala literally feels like you are on the moon.  You go from the 80 degree sunshine laying out a the sunny beach to freezing cold and whipping wind.  I’m actually surprised that these weren’t more blurry, it was so windy I could barely keep my camera straight!

Aren’t these craters AWESOME?

Well, I’m convinced Maui pretty much has everything now… except snow.  Maybe if I went up a little higher…
