Megan & Joel’s Winter Wedding

You break it, you buy it.  That’s what Joel’s mom said to him the day that he broke Megan’s nose while they were running around outside as teenagers.  Little did he know that his mom’s words were, in a sense, prophetic.  Several years later, and after being friends almost their entire lives, Megan & Joel found that their friendship had turned into romance and into love.  I was so happy to be able to share in their joy on their special and personal winter wedding day.  Anyone who knows Megan’s family, knows that they are a warm, welcoming, hard-working, loving and totally hippy-awesome family.  Though Megan & Joel are starting a new life together, their wedding was truly a reflection of their lifestyle and genuineness.

Megan was so unbelievably cute.  She wanted to see Joel so bad!  I almost couldn’t catch her for their first look!  She just kept saying, “I want to see him!  I want to see him!  Can’t I just see him?”  Look how happy they are to see each other!

I was nervous about the cold and how it would affect the photos.  Also, I was nervous about the light!  Megan & Joel had an evening wedding, and in Minnesota, that means cold and dark.  But praise God, He gave us just enough delicious light!

Avery, loving on his sister. :)

This picture defines Megan & her sister, Corinne’s relationship.  Hahahah!

All of the lovely bridesmaids!

Megan’s beautiful family.

The guys.

Joel’s awesome family.

Their wedding was so personal and worshipful.  Megan had her bridesmaids walk down with candles while they sang a hymn learned in France.

I love this last shot.  Megan & Joel were just married.  Pure bliss.

Thank you, Megan & Joel, for letting Scott & me be a part of your wedding and your life.  We love you guys!

xoxo

Kassy :)
